Introduction

Vital Skilled Trades, Inc. (“Vital,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every person who interacts with our website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have regarding your data when you visit vitalskilledtrades.com and any associated pages (collectively, the “Site”) or submit a hire request through our contact forms.

By using our Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not use our Site or submit information through it.

This Policy is grounded in our core commitment to honesty, transparency, and trust — the same values that guide every client and candidate relationship we build.

Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

When you submit a hire request or contact form, we may collect:

•      Full name

•      Company name and your role or title within that organization

•      Business email address

•      Phone number (if voluntarily provided)

•      Trade specializations relevant to your hiring need

•      Details about open positions, required qualifications, and hiring timelines

•      How you learned about Vital (if voluntarily provided)

We collect only the information necessary to respond to your inquiry and provide our services. We do not request sensitive personal information (such as financial account details or government identification numbers) through our Site.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Site, certain technical and usage data is collected automatically, including:

•      Log data: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of access, and the URL from which you arrived

•      Device data: Device type and operating system

•      Usage data: Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on each page

•      Cookie data: See Section 5 for full details

This data is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use our Site, identify technical issues, and improve user experience. It is not used to identify you individually except where necessary to address security concerns.

03 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

•      Responding to inquiries: To contact you about your hire request and discuss your specific recruiting needs

•      Providing services: To match you with qualified candidates and manage your recruiting engagement

•      Service communications: To send updates related to your active engagement, candidate submissions, and placement follow-ups

•      Site improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve the functionality and content of our Site

•      Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes

•      Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, technical issues, or unauthorized access

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent, and every marketing communication includes a clearly visible unsubscribe mechanism.

04 How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties for their own commercial purposes. Period. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

A. Service Providers

We engage trusted third-party vendors to support our operations — including email delivery, customer relationship management (CRM) software, website hosting, and analytics services. These vendors access your information only as necessary to perform their specific function on our behalf and are contractually obligated to maintain its confidentiality and security.

B. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation; (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Vital; (iii) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with our services; or (iv) protect the personal safety of users of our Site or the public.

C. Business Transfers

If Vital is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, your information may be reviewed as part of due diligence and transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via prominent notice on our Site or by email before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

D. With Your Consent

We may share your information for purposes not described in this Policy when we have obtained your prior, informed, and explicit consent to do so.

05 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies — small data files stored in your browser — and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve your experience.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to function properly (e.g., session management, security tokens). They cannot be disabled without affecting Site functionality.

Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to collect anonymized, aggregate data about how visitors interact with our Site — pages visited, referral sources, session duration. This data helps us improve content and navigation. No personally identifiable information is transmitted through analytics cookies.

Your Choices

You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser’s settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or be notified when a cookie is set. Please note that disabling cookies may affect certain Site functionality. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or third-party tracking cookies.

06 Data Retention

We retain personal information submitted through contact and hire request forms for up to three (3) years from the date of submission, or until you request deletion, whichever occurs first. This period allows us to maintain records of our communications, fulfill any active service commitments, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Automatically collected log and analytics data is retained in identifiable form for no more than twelve (12) months, after which it is anonymized or deleted.

When information is no longer necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, we securely delete or anonymize it.

07 Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

•      Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you

•      Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information

•      Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal retention obligations

•      Portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used format

•      Objection: Object to our processing of your information for certain purposes

•      Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any such email, or by contacting us directly

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at privacy@vitalskilledtrades.com. We will respond to all verifiable requests within thirty (30) days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

09 Children’s Privacy

Our Site and services are directed exclusively at business representatives and are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete such information promptly. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@vitalskilledtrades.com.

10 California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification to addresses on file or posting a prominent notice on our Site.
